was started by me, Meredith Hughes Torgerson: a calligrapher, artist, and new mother. 

In the fall of 2015, I moved back to the Midwest with my husband after spending 10 years in New York City attending college and working in the fashion industry. Soon after our big move, we got big news- this Torgerson party of two would become a family of three! 

The arts have always been a part of my life- I studied Design & Management at Parsons School of Design, spent a summer in Paris learning photography & brushing up on my French, participated in countless internships with fashion magazines and backstage at runway shows, and landed a career first as head of sales for DANNIJO jewelry and later in Merchandising at Coach. 

While planning my wedding in 2014, I was inspired to study the art of calligraphy. I attended classes from popular calligraphers, fit practice in between late nights at the office and dinners with friends, and eventually decided to share hand-lettered loveliness with others.
